Meet the Owner
Heather has had a passion for fitness since she was very young watching her mom Noreen do her Gilad beach workout videos! For as far back as she can remember she was taught about how to choose healthy foods from her mom, and took that knowledge into adulthood. Heather originally went to Fordham University with the hopes of becoming a news anchor. She also took classes at The College of Saint Rose, and then went on to complete some graduate school courses at Union Graduate College for business management. While going to college Heather started working for her father at a large construction and development firm. She learned everything about the business and truly loved working side by side with her dad. However, she realized her passion was in the health and fitness industry.
Heather married her husband Nick at age 30 and they had their daughter Olive in 2015. Before meeting Nick Heather had spent time hanging out with the wrong crowd and developed a 10 year addiction to alcohol. She beat her long battle with addiction by joining a gym and hiring a trainer. Heather had tried 5 different rehab facilities and when nothing seemed to be working, her last attempt at sobriety was to dive head first into fitness. She signed up for a fitness competition with very little experience and fell in love with the structure of competition preparation! After signing up for that first show she never looked back. Sobriety had finally begun and she kept signing up and competing in more shows along the east coast, taking first in numerous competitions and then making it to the Nationals stage. During this time she worked tirelessly obtaining numerous specializations and certifications in fitness and nutrition. Three months after giving birth she decided to start her own personal training business for women. She felt very strongly about the confidence she had gained through strength training and wanted to share that with other women. She rented space at different gyms in the area to train her clients and then, together with her husband who is also a fitness fanatic, she decided to open her own studio in Latham.
Today Heather lives in Niskayuna with Nick and Olive – who is now almost 9 years old. Heather is 12 years sober. Business is thriving and she continues to help women of all ages realize their full potential in life. She has helped hundreds of women lose weight, lower cholesterol levels, improve bone density, compete and win fitness shows, pass PTT tests for organizations such as the ATF, and so much more. I understand that adapting to new fitness habits is difficult and often times fails. My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. If you know me then you may already know that although I am currently 11 years sober, I struggled with addiction for 10 very long difficult years. I understand how difficult change is, and the pain of beating addiction. I deal with food addiction on a daily basis with my clients and you can trust me to be firm yet understanding and non-judgmental. My goal is to not only be your trainer and cheerleader - but your friend too. You will never be alone in your journey - we are in this together!
As women, sometimes it's difficult to make time for ourselves. We feel guilty- we feel like we should be home taking care of and spending time with our families. I get it - I am the same way! In actuality we are doing this for our families - how can you be the best wife, mom, grandma, etc. if you aren't happy with yourself first? Take the initiative to get started reaching your goals and your family will appreciate the fun, energized new you! They will also appreciate the years you are adding to your time with them by making changes that benefit your health
